Since 2006 the BET Hip Hop Awards Cyphers have been the highlight of the awards show. Hip Hops finest have joined together for years to showcase their skills on the mic. Taking it back to the roots of hip hop. This year the Cypher seemed to have lost it’s hype in exchange for awkward mash-ups, lackluster crew cyphers, and cypher spoofs. Do you remember the first BET Cypher? It was on the city streets and it was fierce and the MC’s were hungry to spit. 2013’s Cyphers seemed to contrived and the MC’s didn’t seem hungry at all. So we looked in the vaults and found some of the BET Hip Hop Awards Cyphers that made the segment become famous. We’ll put any of these cyphers against this years cyphers and they would body them.
