With fans still in shock over the death of Heavy D, the cause of death may not be known for weeks until an autopsy is performed.
Before collapsing in his home on Tuesday, Heavy D was said to have breathing problems. Not long before his death, Heavy D received a checkup from a doctor where he received a prescription to help a persistent cough. He was also said to be overweight, tipping the scales at 300 pounds.
